Guac 'n' Roll

Cult favorite Taco Land reopens under new management as Tacoland.

103 W. Grayson
San Antonio
Longer days, bipolar temps and shaving your legs more than once a week. Spring has almost sprung.
Enjoy SA's favorite season with al fresco dining at an unofficial landmark: Tacoland. This longtime riverside staple has been on hiatus for the past nine years, but is back and better than ever. The new owner transformed the former punk rock haven into an outdoor-friendly venue, complete with giant Jenga games on tables shaded by the trademark, massive oak tree. Some of the original graffiti and tile were also preserved, but new additions - like a beer menu boasting 36 drafts and 99 bottles, plus cocktails and wine - bring the bar back to to the present. A cuisine menu is in the works - for now, local food trucks pull up occassionally to satisfy sippers' hunger.
You'll wanna taco 'bout it.
