The Perfect Blowout

Tips from a pro for a fast, at-home blowdry.

Pros like celeb stylist Tommy Buckett, who's responsible for the the dos of Ashley Olsen, Sienna Miller and Rachel McAdams, swear the SEDU Revolution Pro Tourmaline Ionic 4000i Dryer cuts drying time in half.

Called out by The New York times for the "best curly cut," the hair guru's fashion-forward styles have landed his work on Fashion Week runways for designers like Alexander Wang and Rodarte. Backstage, he says the SEDU eliminates frizz and static. Here, tips for a fast, at-home blowdry.

1. Towel dry hair and use your favorite styling product. Remove nozzle of Sedu and dry roots quickly. Then, while sweeping hair side to side, use your fingers to dry sections from root to end while lifting hair. Use a high heat and medium speed.

2. Reattach nozzle and clip top of hair (from forehead to 3 inches back). Using a round brush and securing 3-inch sections of unclipped hair with your thumb, dry on high heat in sections, pointing nozzle down.

3. To add volume, unclip top section and use the round brush to pull hair up in sections, drying as you unroll.

4. Blast entire head with dryer on cool setting and add serum or hairspray.

SEDU dryers available at Salons by JC and Ulta.
